No sábado, dia 5, Bom Jesus da Lapa foi palco da 4ª Caminhada pelo Autismo. O evento, que contou com a participação de dezenas de pessoas – incluindo autistas, pais e mães atípicos, ativistas e representantes de diferentes segmentos da sociedade – percorreu várias ruas da cidade, entre a sede da Secretaria Municipal de Assistência Social e o Cruzeiro de Santa Luzia. A caminhada foi realizada em celebração ao Dia da Conscientização sobre o Autismo (5 de abril) e teve como propósito fomentar o diálogo, a inclusão e o conhecimento sobre o tema.
Organizada pela Associação de Mães e Pais de Autistas Lapenses (Ampal), a caminhada não apenas disseminou informações sobre o Transtorno, mas também buscou sensibilizar a sociedade para a importância da conscientização de que o autismo não é uma doença, mas uma condição. O evento destacou a relevância do acolhimento e do respeito às famílias atípicas, promovendo discussões sobre a criação e a implementação de políticas públicas voltadas à inclusão de pessoas com Transtorno do Espectro Autista (TEA) e a luta por um espaço adequado para Terapias Especializadas. “A caminhada é um clamor por visibilidade, mas também um convite à escuta. Continuamos na luta por direitos, estrutura e atenção para as famílias de autistas lapenses”, enfatizou ao final do evento a presidente da Ampal, Barbara Silva Batista Sá Teles.
A Caminhada deixou aos habitantes de Bom Jesus da Lapa uma reflexão de que o Transtorno do Espectro Autista (TEA) não possui um único rosto, mas sim diversas formas, cores e maneiras de ser. Compreender essa multiplicidade do autismo é um passo fundamental para construir uma sociedade mais inclusiva e acolhedora. De acordo com a presidente da Ampal, a Caminhada pelo Autismo possibilitou, além de um percurso físico, uma jornada mental, permitindo que a população de Bom Jesus da Lapa vivenciasse a diversidade de forma agradável, lado a lado com autistas e pais atípicos.
Para a realização da 4ª Caminhada pelo Autismo, a Ampal contou com o apoio da Associação de Pais e Amigos dos Excepcionais (Apae), da Prefeitura Municipal de Bom Jesus da Lapa, por meio das Secretarias Municipais de Assistência Social, Educação e Administração, além do Legislativo Municipal.
