Pela primeira vez, um Hospital do interior da Bahia foi habilitado pelo Ministério da Saúde para realizar transplantes de Fígado pelo Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS). O Hospital São Vicente de Paula (Santa Casa de Misericórida), de Vitória da Conquista, agora faz parte da Rede Estadual de Transplantes, o que amplia o acesso da população, diminui distâncias e salva vidas. A Unidade também está autorizada a realizar Transplantes de Rim.
Esse é um avanço importante não só para Vitória da Conquista, mas para toda macrorregião, celebrado pelo Deputado Federal Waldenor Alves Pereira Filho (PT/BA).
“Estamos muito felizes com essa notícia, pois somos parceiros do Hospital São Vicente e da Santa Casa de Misericórdia. Eu e o Deputado Zé Raimundo (Deputado Estadual José Raimundo Fontes, do PT) temos contribuído com essa Unidade de Saúde ao longo dos anos, destinando emendas parlamentares que financiaram melhorias e equipamentos que, sem dúvida, ajudaram no credenciamento do Hospital”, afirma Pereira.
Ele destaca que seus mandatos, em conjunto com o Deputado Estadual Zé Raimundo, alocaram recentemente R$ 1,5 milhão em emendas parlamentares para o Hospital, além de terem adquirido um novo Arco Cirúrgico e apoiado anualmente o Programa de Residência Médica da Instituição.
“Parabenizo a Santa Casa, na figura do Provedor Abmael Brito, assim como a secretária de Saúde da Bahia, Roberta Santana, por essa conquista histórica. Sinto grande orgulho em ser parceiro de uma Entidade tão vital para nossa cidade e região. Por isso, estamos celebrando junto com o Hospital São Vicente, Vitória da Conquista e o Governo da Bahia este marco inédito para a Saúde Pública do Estado”, conclui o deputado.
