O deputado federal Waldenor Alves Pereira Filho (PT/BA) reuniu-se na última quarta-feira (21) com o secretário Especial do Programa de Parcerias e Investimentos da Casa Civil da Presidência da República, Marcus Benicio Foltz Cavalcanti, em Brasília, para discutir o Projeto do Perímetro Irrigado do Rio Brumado, localizado em Livramento de Nossa Senhora. Na pauta da reunião, a reivindicação do parlamentar para a inclusão do Projeto no Plano de Investimentos do PAC (Programa de Aceleração do Crescimento do Governo Federal), atendendo a uma demanda da prefeita de Livramento de Nossa Senhora, Joanina Batista Silva Morais Sampaio (PSB) e da Associação do Distrito de Irrigação do Brumado (Adib).
Segundo Waldenor Pereira, “o Perímetro Irrigado do Rio Brumado, em Livramento, está defasado tecnologicamente e necessita de uma requalificação urgente para suprir a demanda atual dos produtores de frutas da região. Criado na década de 1970 e implantado em 1987 para uma área irrigada de 5 mil hectares, atualmente abrange mais de 10 mil hectares com cerca de mil irrigantes. Essa expansão ocorreu sem planejamento adequado da capacidade hídrica regional”, ressaltou o parlamentar.
O deputado é um forte defensor do novo Projeto de Modernização do Perímetro Irrigado do Rio Brumado, que atualmente está em fase de análise no Ministério da Integração e do Desenvolvimento Regional. Além disso, Waldenor Pereira já apresentou emenda à Lei de Diretrizes Orçamentárias (LDO) para destinar recursos ao Orçamento da União para essa obra e tem buscado apoio da bancada baiana para investimentos no Projeto.
“Desta vez, estamos solicitando a inclusão desse importante Projeto no PAC, o que trará benefícios para toda a Bacia do Paramirim e Serra Geral, especialmente para os municípios de Livramento de Nossa Senhora e Dom Basílio, que são tradicionais produtores de manga e outras frutas,” destacou Waldenor Pereira.
Segundo o deputado, por recomendação do ministro de Estado da Casa Civil, Rui Costa dos Santos, o secretário Especial do Programa de Parcerias e Investimentos da Casa Civil da Presidência da República, Marcus Benicio Foltz Cavalcanti, convocou Diretores e Assessores da Pasta para a reunião, dada a relevância regional do Projeto, que prevê investimentos de aproximadamente R$ 50 milhões.
O deputado agradeceu ao ministro de Estado Chefe da Casa Civil, Rui Costa dos Santos, e ao secretário Especial do Programa de Parcerias e Investimentos da Casa Civil da Presidência da República, Marcus Benicio Foltz Cavalcanti, pela acolhida à sua demanda. Ele ressaltou a importância do Projeto de Modernização do Perímetro Irrigado do Rio Brumado, destacando que sua realização é fundamental para o fortalecimento da agricultura e da economia regional. “Somos gratos ao ministro Rui Costa e ao secretário Marcus Cavalcante pela receptividade à nossa demanda. Estamos confiantes de que nosso pedido será atendido, contribuindo para fortalecer a agricultura e a economia da nossa região,” concluiu Waldenor Pereira.
