Pessoas pretas e pardas vivenciam mais o desemprego do que as brancas, além de receberem salários menores e trabalharem mais na informalidade. A constatação faz parte da Pesquisa Nacional por Amostra de Domicílios (Pnad) Contínua, divulgada nesta sexta-feira (14), no Rio de Janeiro, pelo Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE).
O levantamento aponta que, no quarto trimestre de 2024, a população branca registrou taxa de desemprego de 4,9%, abaixo do índice de 6,2% da média nacional. Na outra ponta, pretos (7,5%) e pardos (7%) ficaram acima da média do país.
Segundo a coordenadora da pesquisa, Adriana Beringuy, essa desigualdade é uma característica estrutural do mercado de trabalho brasileiro, “não apenas relacionada a esse trimestre”.
O estudo do IBGE apura o comportamento no mercado de trabalho para pessoas com 14 anos ou mais e leva em conta todas as formas de ocupação, seja emprego com ou sem carteira assinada, temporário e por conta própria, por exemplo. São visitados 211 mil domicílios em todos os estados e no Distrito Federal.
Informalidade
A desigualdade por cor também é percebida quando se analisa a taxa de informalidade, ou seja, a proporção de trabalhadores que não têm garantidos direitos como férias, contribuição para a Previdência Social e 13º salário.
Enquanto a taxa de informalidade do país no quarto trimestre de 2024 alcançou 38,6%, a dos pretos era 41,9%; e a dos pardos, 43,5%. O índice entre as pessoas brancas ficou abaixo da média: 32,6%.
O IBGE destaca que – entre os terceiro e quarto trimestres de 2024 – a taxa de informalidade caiu no país (de 38,8% para 38,6%) e entre os brancos (de 33,5% para 32,6%), mas ela se elevou entre pardos (43,2% para 43,5%) e pretos (41,8% para 41,9%).
“Vale ressaltar essa diferença estrutural desse indicador no recorte de cor ou raça”, frisa Beringuy.
De acordo com o Censo 2022, os pardos respondem por 45,3% da população. Brancos são 43,5%; pretos, 10,2%; indígenas, 0,6%; e amarelos, 0,4%.
Rendimentos
Quando se observa os salários dos trabalhadores, o rendimento médio mensal do país alcança R$ 3.215 no último trimestre de 2024. É mais um indicador que mostra os ocupados brancos acima da média com R$ 4.153 mensais. O inverso acontece com pretos (R$ 2.403) e pardos (R$ 2.485).
Mulheres
A pesquisa do IBGE apresenta, ainda, dados de desigualdade de gênero. A desemprego entre os homens no último trimestre de 2024 ficou em 5,1%. Já o das mulheres, 7,6%.
O desequilíbrio também é percebido no valor recebido por homens e mulheres. Eles fecharam o último trimestre de 2024 com rendimento médio mensal de R$ 3.540, enquanto elas receberam R$ 2.783.
