Selo ALBA Cultural lança obra de Marcelino José das Neves na Tenda Literária durante a Feira Literária de Mucugê

A Feira Literária de Mucugê, realizada entre os dias 24 a 28 de julho de 2024, será palco do lançamento do livro “Lavras Diamantinas” de Marcelino José das Neves, publicado pelo Selo ALBA Cultural. O evento de lançamento acontecerá na sexta-feira, 26 de julho, às 14h, na Tenda Literária.
“Lavras Diamantinas” é uma obra singular na história literária da Bahia, escrita em 1870 pelo professor Marcelino José das Neves. Considerado o primeiro romance escrito no interior baiano, o livro retrata a vida e as tradições do povo sertanejo durante o ciclo da mineração na Chapada Diamantina. Com uma escrita erudita e detalhista, Marcelino traz à tona a essência do sertão baiano, suas tradições religiosas, sociais e políticas.
O romance de Marcelino José das Neves, escrito durante um período de grandes dificuldades no Brasil, especialmente devido à Guerra do Paraguai, reflete a riqueza cultural e histórica da Chapada Diamantina. Marcelino, um amante das letras e leitor ávido de Machado de Assis, utilizou sua vivência e observações para criar uma narrativa vibrante que detalha a vida nas lavras diamantinas, desde as paisagens naturais até as contendas entre garimpeiros.
O lançamento de “Lavras Diamantinas” faz parte da programação da Fligê 2024, que este ano traz o tema “Memórias e trilhas das Letras Diamantinas”, explorando o rico acervo literário da produção baiana e mineira da Chapada Diamantina, desde obras clássicas regionais até reflexões contemporâneas.
Selo ALBA Cultural continua parceria com distribuição de livros durante a Fligê
Desde 2016, a Assembleia Legislativa da Bahia (ALBA), através do programa ALBA Cultural, tem apoiado feiras literárias em diversas localidades da Bahia, patrocinando a edição de obras literárias de interesse sócio-histórico. Na Feira Literária de Mucugê, milhares de livros já foram distribuídos gratuitamente durante edições anteriores.
O pedido de reedição do livro foi realizado pelo deputado estadual Zé Raimundo. “A obra, tivesse sido publicada tempestivamente, ao tempo em que foi escrita, certamente fulguraria como uma das pérolas da literatura pátria e, sem favor, seria um marco. Muito antes do regionalismo dominar a literatura, em pleno romantismo, Marcelino produz uma pérola sertaneja, baiana, e imortal”, afirmou o deputado em ofício enviado ao presidente da ALBA. “Com a certeza que nos move de estarmos contribuindo, cada vez mais, para a difusão da cultura, literatura e história do povo baiano”, reforça Zé Raimundo.
A publicação de “Lavras Diamantinas” este ano representa um resgate cultural significativo, pois a obra estava esgotada e sem novas edições desde a sua única publicação, postumamente, em 1967. Na Tenda Literária, o público poderá conhecer mais sobre a obra e seu autor, além de adquirir gratuitamente os exemplares do livro.
A sétima edição da Fligê conta com apoio do Governo Federal, do Governo Estadual, por meio da Secult/Fundação Pedro Calmon e parcerias de instituições e coletivos culturais.
