Janeiro, auge do verão, foi o mês escolhido por mais de 65 mil consumidores brasileiros para a instalação de sistemas de micro e minigeração distribuída de energia elétrica (MMGD), o que resultou em um acréscimo de 725 megawatts (MW) de potência instalada, integralmente a partir de painéis solares fotovoltaicos.
Um total de 112 mil unidades consumidoras passou a aproveitar os excedentes da energia gerada por iniciativa dos próprios consumidores no primeiro mês do ano, segundo dados reunidos pela Agência Nacional de Energia Elétrica (ANEEL) a partir de informações enviadas pelas distribuidoras de energia. Por meio da micro e da minigeração distribuída (MMGD), o consumidor brasileiro gera sua própria energia elétrica, a partir de fontes renováveis ou cogeração qualificada, e lança o excedente de geração na rede de distribuição de energia para usar nos momentos em que não está gerando.
São Paulo foi o estado que se destacou no mês passado, tanto em número de sistemas instalados quanto em potência: 13.463 usinas começaram a operar, totalizando 122 MW. Goiás foi o segundo estado em expansão de potência em MMGD em janeiro, com 76 MW, seguido de Minas Gerais, com 75 MW. Em quantidade de instalações, Minas ficou em segundo lugar, com 5.343 novas usinas, seguida pelo Rio Grande do Sul, com 4.877 instalações. A cidade no país com maior crescimento no mês foi Campo Grande/MS, com 1.112 usinas.
Potência de MMGD no Brasil se aproxima de 37 GW
Segundo a ANEEL (dados de 17/02/2025), o Brasil conta com 3,28 milhões de sistemas conectados à rede de distribuição de energia elétrica, com potência instalada próxima de 36,90 gigawatts (GW). Aproximadamente 4,91 milhões de unidades consumidoras utilizam os excedentes e os créditos da energia gerada nos sistemas instalados.
Os consumidores residenciais respondem por 79,63% das usinas em operação (2,6 milhões), 69,01% das unidades que utilizam créditos pela MMGD (3,39 milhões) e 49,04% da potência instalada (18,10 GW). O comércio representa 10,08% das usinas (330,12 mil), 18,53% das unidades que utilizam créditos pela MMGD (910,32 mil) e 28,69% da potência instalada (10,59 GW). E a classe rural responde por 8,61% das usinas em operação (281,99 mil), 9,97% das unidades que utilizam créditos pela MMGD (508,03 mil) e 13,77% da potência instalada (5,08 GW).
A MMGD pode ser proveniente da microgeração, quando a energia produzida por um central geradora com potência instalada até 75 quilowatts (KW), ou da minigeração distribuída, com potência acima de 75 kW e menor ou igual a 3 MW (podendo ser até 5 MW em situações específicas, nos termos dos incisos IX e XIIII e do Parágrafo Único do art. 1º da Lei nº 14.300/2022).Infográfico – Micro e Minigeração Distribuída
Por que a ANEEL não soma as potências de geração centralizada e de MMGD?
Porque a energia elétrica produzida é utilizada de modo diferente. No caso da geração centralizada, aquela das grandes usinas em operação comercial, a energia elétrica gerada é comercializada no âmbito da Câmara de Comercialização de Energia Elétrica (CCEE), tanto no ambiente de comercialização regulada (ACR), com preços regulados, como no ambiente de comercialização livre (ACL), considerando inclusive grandes Autoprodutores de Energia Elétrica (APE).
Por outro lado, a energia elétrica produzida pelos sistemas de MMGD é utilizada prioritariamente pelos consumidores proprietários desses sistemas e por outras unidades consumidoras relacionadas a eles, que recebem os créditos pelo excedente dessa geração, na forma de abatimento na fatura de energia elétrica (conta de luz).
