A transição de comando no Ministério da Saúde foi iniciada com uma reunião de trabalho entre o futuro titular da pasta, Alexandre Padilha, e a ministra da Saúde, Nísia Trindade. Padilha, que é médico e retornará à pasta que já comandou entre 2011 e 2014, afirmou que perseguirá a meta de reduzir o tempo de espera para atendimento no Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS).
“Vou fazer uma transição com um olhar muito detalhado. Como um bom médico, vou fazer um diagnóstico junto com a ministra. A partir de agora minha dedicação total é pelo desafio que o presidente Lula estabeleceu, que é uma obsessão minha enquanto ministro, enquanto médico, é uma obsessão do presidente Lula, que é reduzir o tempo de espera para quem precisa de atendimento de saúde no nosso País”, disse, nesta quinta-feira (27/2), em vídeo divulgado nas redes sociais.
Nas redes sociais, os vídeos da visita ao prédio do ministério mostram Padilha no gabinete da ministra e na copa, onde tomou um café e reencontrou trabalhadores com quem conviveu quando foi titular da saúde, no governo da presidente Dilma Rousseff.
Padilha elogiou o trabalho de Nísia Trindade e afirmou que, ao longo dos últimos anos, a ministra comandou a reconstrução do Ministério da Saúde, após recebê-lo de uma gestão negacionista.
“Tenho certeza de que será uma transição muito mais tranquila, construtiva, amigável, do que a ministra Nísia Trindade teve que fazer quando assumiu o Ministério da Saúde, depois dos anos dirigido pelo negacionismo, por uma postura contra a ciência e contra a vida. Tenho a sorte de estar sucedendo uma defensora do SUS, uma cientista competente, uma equipe que durante esses dois anos se esforçou, fez um grande trabalho para reconstruir o ministério”, afirmou.
A troca de comando no Ministério da Saúde foi anunciada pelo presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva na última terça-feira (25/2). Desde 2023, Padilha comanda a pasta das Relações Institucionais que é responsável pela articulação política entre o Governo Federal e o Congresso Nacional.
