O Tesouro Nacional anunciou a suspensão de novas contratações de financiamentos com subvenção federal nas linhas do Plano Safra 2024/2025. A medida, que entrou em vigor na sexta-feira (21), não abrange operações de custeio do Programa Nacional de Fortalecimento da Agricultura Familiar (Pronaf), que vão continuar disponíveis.
O Ministério da Fazenda confirmou a informação ao Brasil 61. De acordo com a Pasta, o ministro Fernando Haddad, que retornou do Oriente Médio, “encaminhará ofício ao Tribunal de Contas da União em busca de respaldo técnico e legal para a imediata retomada das linhas de crédito com recursos equalizados do Plano Safra 2024/2025.”
Ainda na sexta-feira, Haddad afirmou que o governo vai editar uma Medida Provisória para atender as linhas de crédito do Plano Safra que foram suspensas. De acordo com o Ministério, “as linhas foram suspensas pelo Tesouro Nacional por necessidade legal, devido à não aprovação da Lei Orçamentária Anual (LOA) 2025.”

O atraso na aprovação do Orçamento deste ano impede a execução de algumas políticas públicas. A proposta deveria ter sido aprovada em dezembro de 2024, mas a previsão é que o projeto seja analisado apenas em março.
A determinação foi comunicada por meio de um ofício enviado a 25 instituições financeiras. Por meio do documento, o Tesouro Nacional explica que a revisão dos parâmetros econômicos e das projeções de gastos para este ano tornou necessária uma reavaliação da política de equalização de juros do crédito rural.
