Ao longo de sua trajetória, o PT de Brumado construiu uma história marcada pela dedicação e pelo compromisso com as causas populares, consolidando-se como uma legenda que representa a militância ativa e a luta por justiça social. No entanto, os cenários políticos de 2020 e, principalmente, de 2024, trouxeram à tona reflexões sobre o momento atual do partido no município, especialmente no que diz respeito à sua identidade, independência, participação e ao fortalecimento interno.
Em 2024, especificamente, durante o processo de escolha do candidato do PT para a disputa da Prefeitura Municipal, as lideranças históricas da legenda foram colocadas à margem pelos “caciques” estaduais e obrigada a se curvar `vontade e aos interesses desses, que impuseram um candidato sem identidade com os petistas brumadenses, evidenciando uma mudança na dinâmica interna. Apesar disso, a militância “não passou recibo” e foi às ruas numa demonstração de respeito à vontade expressa pelas suas lideranças estaduais e abraçou o candidato que lhes foi imposto, contribuindo para que as projeções mudassem à medida em que a campanha avançava e, chegando ao final, com uma votação expressiva, superada por apenas 0,97% dos votos válidos pelo prefeito eleito.
No último domingo, 7, a militância histórica do PT de Brumado confirmou que não pode ser subestimada e, mais uma vez, numa demonstração de força e unidade, elegeu com uma expressiva maioria de votos (87,7% dos votos válidos) o novo presidente do Diretório Municipal, reafirmando seu compromisso de revitalizar o partido.
Mais do que uma vitória eleitoral local, o resultado do Processo de Eleição Direta (PED) do Partido dos Trabalhadores em Brumado deixou um recado claro para as lideranças estaduais, que é hora de resgatar o verdadeiro espírito do PT, pautado no respeito à identidade de suas bases. E lembrando que, com as eleições de 2026 batendo às portas, o PT vai precisar estar unido e forte em todo o país, ou seja, em cada um dos 5.570 municípios brasileiros, para derrotar a centro-direita que já se organiza, e o desafio dos caciques da legenda na Bahia será o de analisar e assimilar o resultado das urnas do PED e juntar forças com os novos dirigentes para recuperar a tradição militante que nos últimos anos, vem se perdendo, como em Brumado, especialmente desde as eleições municipais de 2020. Essa perda de essência, reforçam petistas históricos brumadenses, tem levado o partido a uma postura mais institucionalizada, afastando-se de suas raízes de participação ativa e de engajamento direto com a comunidade.
O momento atual pede, portanto, segundo o novo presidente do Diretório do PT de Brumado, Aurelicio Santana Santos, e a expressiva maioria da militância que foi às urnas, um reacender do orgulho de ser petista e uma revitalização da democracia interna. O recado dado aos líderes estaduais que vinham se acostumando a impor decisões e candidaturas foi claro: para que a legenda retome sua trajetória de luta e resistência, é fundamental que seja fortalecida a participação dos militantes, promovidos debates abertos e garantido que as decisões do partido sejam resultado do protagonismo de suas bases. Esses são, reforçam as lideranças brumadenses, a exemplo do ex-presidente da legenda e uma dos mais representativos nomes do PT baiano, Luiz Frederico – Fredinho – Rêgo, que apostaram suas fichas nas candidaturas à presidência nacional do ex-ministro de Estado Chefe da Secretaria de Comunicação Social da Presidência da República, Edson Antônio da Silva (Edinho Silva); estadual, do sociólogo Jonas Paulo de Oliveira Neres, e municipal, Aurelicio Santana Santos, compromissos que não podem ser ignorados.

O PED 2025, realizado no domingo (7), segundo relatou ao JS, foi uma oportunidade de reiniciar esse ciclo, promovendo uma renovação que integre tradição e inovação, colocando a militância como elemento central do projeto político do partido em nível nacional, estadual e municipal.
Para Luiz Frederico – Fredinho – Rêgo, reaparecer e reafirmar o compromisso com os princípios que moldaram sua história é o caminho que o PT de Brumado sinaliza para as lideranças estaduais para que o partido continue sendo uma legenda forte, participativa e influente na vida política nacional, estadual e local. Segundo ele, num claro recado às lideranças que impuseram o nome do candidato do PT em Brumado em 2024 e que não se preocuparam um dialogar para buscar um consenso para o PED 2025, “se o bom gestor tem que estar junto ao povo e não nos gabinetes, como ensina o nosso governador Jerônimo Rodrigues, também o dirigente partidário tem que estar próximo da militância e do conjunto de filiados, e não conectado apenas à direção estadual, recebendo ordens de quem não conhece a realidade política local e enxerga tudo do ‘planalto’, no conforto dos gabinetes da capital, vendo o xadrez da política estadual, mas sem ter a mínima ideia de como é viver na ‘planície’”, pontuou.
Luiz Frederico – Fredinho – Rêgo destaca que a expressiva vitória em Brumado dos candidatos da Corrente “Construir um Novo Brasil” – Edinho Silva (nacional), Jonas Paulo (estadual) – embora não tenha sido eleito – e Aurelicio Santana Santos (local) – é um claro indicativo que a militância quer ser ouvida e não pretender mais ser alijada dos processos internos.
Além do atual presidente regional do partido, Eden Valadares Santos e do senador da República Jaques Wagner, quem também saiu derrotado das urnas do PED em Brumado foi o advogado Guilherme de Castro Lino Bonfim, que foi escolhido – conforme ressaltam os militantes brumadenses, sem que as bases fossem ouvidas – para disputa da Prefeitura Municipal em 2024. O JS também tentou, por meio de mensagem de texto pelo Aplicativo WhatsApp (77 9901-**00) com o advogado Guilherme de Castro Lino Bonfim, para que pudesse justificar sua ausência na votação em Brumado no último dia 7 e comentar a performance do candidato vencedor, que não contou com seu apoio, que obteve 87,7% dos votos válidos, mas não obteve resposta.
