Durante as celebrações da Semana Santa, a Prefeitura Municipal de Bom Jesus da Lapa reforçou seu compromisso de longa data com a assistência às comunidades carentes. Mantendo a tradição iniciada em gestões anteriores pelo prefeito Eures Ribeiro Pereira (PSD), a Administração Municipal realizou, na quinta-feira (17), a entrega de quatro mil cestas básicas para famílias em situação de vulnerabilidade social. A ação busca garantir que o espírito de solidariedade permaneça vivo, mesmo em períodos de adversidade.
O prefeito, acompanhado pelo vice-prefeito Miguel Lelis da Rocha (Progressistas) e pela secretária municipal de Assistência Social e Combate à Pobreza, Andréia Luiza dos Santos, participou das distribuições tanto na sede quanto em diversas localidades rurais. Na cidade, os pontos de entrega incluíram o Ginásio do Bairro Beira-Rio, a Escola Municipal da Vila Maia e a Escola Municipalizada Edvaldo Boaventura, no Bairro São João. Nas áreas rurais, a entrega ocorreu em locais como a Fazenda Campos (Escola Municipal Professora Claudemira Rufina de Souza Silva), Fazenda Salinas (Escola Municipal de Salinas) e Fazenda Barrinha (Escola Municipal São Francisco).
Além de atender às necessidades básicas das famílias beneficiadas, a iniciativa teve como objetivo fortalecer os laços de solidariedade e renovar a esperança na comunidade. A distribuição foi conduzida de forma organizada, contando com o apoio de servidores municipais e voluntários.
O prefeito Eures Ribeiro reafirmou seu compromisso de preservar as tradições locais, promovendo ações que favoreçam o bem-estar social e a união da população, especialmente em momentos de grande significado, como a Semana Santa.
