A Uesb deu início às primeiras turmas dos cursos de Licenciatura em Educação do Campo e em Educação Escolar Quilombola, por meio do Programa Nacional de Fomento à Equidade na Formação de Professores da Educação Básica. As aulas magnas foram realizadas nos campi de Itapetinga, Jequié e Vitória da Conquista, reunindo as primeiras turmas das duas formações.
Os cursos são destinados a professores que já atuam na Educação Básica e desejam ter uma segunda licenciatura. A iniciativa irá qualificar esses docentes para atuação, sobretudo, em contextos historicamente invisibilizados. “Queremos impactar diretamente a prática pedagógica, o conteúdo ensinado e, principalmente, o modo como olhamos para os estudantes do campo e quilombolas”, ressalta Reginaldo Pereira, pró-reitor de Graduação da Uesb.
Educação que transforma – Em Itapetinga, a palestra de abertura trouxe como tema “A educação do/no campo e a policrise capitalista – do presente ao futuro” e foi ministrada por Obede Guimarães, professor da Universidade Federal da Bahia (Ufba) e integrante do Movimento Sem Terra. “Esses cursos surgem para enfrentar os desafios das escolas do campo, respeitando suas culturas e modos de vida”, afirmou Obede, que também apontou a Educação do Campo como uma resposta às crises enfrentadas pelas escolas rurais e às desigualdades sociais.
Mudar o olhar para a formação é objetivo de Roberta Pacheco Caetano nessa jornada. Filha de trabalhadores rurais, Roberta é uma das aprovadas para a primeira turma do curso de Licenciatura em Educação do Campo. “Meus pais abandonaram o sonho dos estudos pela luta na lavoura. Mesmo assim, garantiram que seus filhos tivessem acesso à escola”, relatou.
A estudante enfrentou muitos desafios, mas manteve viva sua promessa de cuidar da família e investir nos estudos. Roberta foi a primeira entre os quatro irmãos a concluir o Ensino Médio e ingressar na Universidade. Inspirada pela escritora Conceição Evaristo, ela leva consigo a frase: “o importante não é ser o primeiro ou a primeira, o importante é abrir caminhos”.
Hoje, ela vê na formação a chance de reescrever sua história e fortalecer as raízes que a ligam ao campo. “A Educação do Campo valoriza os costumes do nosso povo e possibilita que novas gerações tenham orgulho de suas origens”, destacou.
