Dados oficiais do Centro de Referência Albertina Vasconcelos, órgão vinculado à estrutura da Coordenação de Políticas para as Mulheres da Secretaria Municipal de Desenvolvimento Social de Vitória da Conquista, indicam que, desde 2017, mais de 17 mil mulheres em situação de violência receberam atendimento na Unidade. Atualmente, segundo a secretária municipal de Desenvolvimento Social, advogada Viviane Santos de Oliveira Ferreira, cerca de 200 mulheres estão sendo acompanhadas pela equipe do Centro de Referência. Essas informações foram divulgadas durante a assinatura do Decreto, na última segunda-feira (14), pela prefeita Ana Sheila Lemos Andrade (União Brasil), que instituiu a Rede de Enfrentamento à Violência contra Mulheres e Meninas e criou o Comitê Permanente Interinstitucional.
Presente no evento, o vereador Ivan Cordeiro da Silva Filho (PL), presidente do Legislativo Municipal de Vitória da Conquista, destacou a importância da formalização da Rede e do Comitê, reforçando o papel do Poder Legislativo na promoção de melhorias contínuas nas políticas públicas de prevenção à violência de gênero e na garantia de proteção integral às mulheres. Ele ressaltou que a Câmara Municipal tem avançado na discussão de Projetos relevantes e celebrou a presença da bancada feminina, uma composição inédita na história do Parlamento conquistense, que fortalece ainda mais essa luta por transformação social.
Segundo Ivan Cordeiro, conhecer a legislação é fundamental, mas não basta; em tempos de debates intensos sobre direitos e normas cada vez mais acessíveis, é necessário ir além do papel, praticando com sensibilidade, empatia e comprometimento social. Ele destacou que a efetividade das Leis depende de pessoas capazes de enxergar além da letra fria, compreendendo a realidade das vítimas e agindo com coragem para promover justiça em ações cotidianas.
